The color choices for some of the eggs were too saturated or harsh in my opinion, but I like the message of the video. I'd go into different games and see how they do it. Cog wheels around the egg, flowers, ice shards, stars, vines, etc. Particles would, as said, be good to add. With all these additions, you should also look into optimization/performance.

ive seen a game where instead of buying eggs you already have a pet and you can get food to upgrade it (the higher its level the more food it needs to level up) and so you start with a egg then you feed the egg and get a cracked egg then fed it again and you have a baby dragon then you feed it again and now its a adult dragon then you feed it again and now it has three heads. and personally i think this is the best way to go for both the game maker and player because the player doesnt have to gamble for a good pet and the game maker doesnt have to make a bunch of diffrent pets you can get from 1 egg.
