Is there any symbolism behind the magical girls' weapons? Like maybe Madoka's being a pacifist got her a bow, so she wouldn't have to be so close to her target? And how Homura's being a wimp got her a shield? The weapon doesn't depend on the wish, of course; otherwise, Madoka would have a different weapon every time by making different wishes. The secondary power depends on the wish (Homura being able to stop time, because she asked to travel through time, Sayaka being able to heal fast, because she asked to heal Kyouske, etc.), but what's the deal with the weapons? Why does Sayaka have swords? Why does Kyoko have that crazy spear thing (if Kyoko's weapon has a name, I'd love to hear it)? Why does Mami have muskets? I guess Bebe's fork and knife would make sense with her obsession with food.

This anime was insane. Absurd. It defied everything I thought about anime and just.. Blew my mind. It's so confusing and it's hard to patch everything that happened, episode 1 to movie 3.... It's so messed up and confusing, and they want to make a FOURTH MOVIE. This might be an anime that, never ends... Or lasts for a long time
