I definitely get the complaints and-personally, I’d prefer if they did remake both games in one package as well. But frankly, I love this game to death, so any excuse to not have to find my 3DS stuffed somewhere in my closet to play this is a good enough excuse for me.

Dark Moon is a true gem, not only for the series but in gaming in general. You simply don't get bona-fide pockets of charm like this these days. This was the 'hidden' re-Make I was personally routing for, 1000 times over any Thousand Year Door!

I do think that having an extra joystick is a big upgrade over the 3ds version. But yeah, a coop or an exclusive separate game would be pretty nice. I’m sure we’re Gona get another LM remake someday since the 3ds got one too late.

Worst part about this remaster/rerelease is that Nintendo should have done a Luigi’s Mansion 1 + 2 HD in one package and price it at $30-40 USD.

I think it'll most likely just be an upscale and retexture with some control changes but nothing else. After all, this is being advertised as a "visually enhanced version" not a remake or remaster. Whether it's pointless or not, idk, but I can see some of the reasoning behind doing this, it's an old 3DS game not many people got to play and wtv. Although I definitely feel like if they were gonna port the Luigi's Mansion games to switch, they should have sold the first two games as one complete package, but regardless, I'm still excited for this port because I haven't played Dark Moon in years due to losing my cartridge and I really liked this game from what I remember

luigis mansion dark moon is in my top 10 games (yes above the original) so I am personally extremely happy about this but despite that I do think the original game getting a remaster made A LOT more sense

They're probably going to shadow drop Luigis Mansion 1 onto the switch for this Halloween like they shadow dropped Pikmin 1 and 2 as well as Metroid Prime 1. Luigis Mansion 1 will be released this year while Luigis Mansion Dark Moon will be released next Halloween.

You keep mentioning Nintendo and Next Level Games, but I'm more than certain that neither of them are really involved in developing this to any significant degree.

Every single time Nintendo make a game and remaster/remake it, they hire another external team like Monster Games to handle the bulk of the work. Even the 3DS remake of the first game was handled by another team…

I actually don't see why people are so angry about this. I could understand the perspective of "why did they spend time remastering *this* one?! That's taking away time and resources from other potential remakes." Again, these are usually handled by outside teams, not Nintendo themselves. Even Retro Studios had a significant amount of outside help with Metroid Prime Remastered.

All I see with this is just a way for more people to play Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, considering many missed it on the 3DS. If you don't want it… don't buy it.
