The first few times I watched your reviews; I thought to myself who is this nerd? I was put off by your costumes but now; oh boy I love your reviews: you are so good thatI don’t even see the dress! Way to go Steve

My favorite scene is that one between June and the Doctor. A genuine moment of kindness that brought June out of the darkness of her mind and allowed her to voluntarily stay with Ofmatthew in her last moments.

“They’ve flowered..”

Ugh. My stomach turned. Poor babies!

Jeanine has the typical childlike attitude similar to those that grow up in an alcoholic or other type of abusive home. The inconsistencies of the parent(s). One day taking your eye out, beating you with a cane, then showing kindness. The child has no other parental figures, and still wants love and approval. It is more sadistic of Aunt Lydia to switch from Dr Jeryell to Mr Hyde personalities. The child mind can switch into multiple personalities disorders, or not rebell, and this pattern of abuse will continue. It is good Jeanine did not rat out June. And what? The Dr put the knife back where someone unstable like June could kill the baby. I thought he wanted to protect the baby?

I like that the doctor knew June's mother. Was thrilled when June got the idea to free the Gilead children.

Janine is a true angel. She has never been the full picnic but she has such a beautiful soul. I wish so much she could get to Canada 🍁

I thought it was interesting that her baby was a boy.

I think the conversation with the little girl at the end was not the little girl saying that she did want kids. You need to rewatch it. The little girl is obviously just saying that because it's what she's been trained to do it's not what she really wants. This conversation just fuels June's fire to get these kids out of Gilead

I loved that part, “how will you honor your children?” I don’t know why but it was so emotional for me. That whole scene felt so real. Great acting and great script. I think this whole episode is setting up for something great.

I felt very anemic watching this one. One of the most powerful forms of torture is isolation. By far one of the best episodes. All of the writing made sense. Loved the doctor perfect writing. I was touched by the line June said “When I figured out I would never see my daughters again.” Great interventional episode.
I died a little on the inside.

As always great review. 😍

“ The Lord doesn’t give us more than we can handle. “
Woah! What a banner thought, Lydia, at the foot of the bed of someone
that, what, oh the Lord just felt like squashing her brain like a bug?!

I sat there and listened to the heart beat stop while the credits roll... so emotional! ❤️
I love that she will honor her daughters by saving the other children! 🥰 *high five to the doctor*
... I miss Nick thought. I miss the hope I saw in June and Nick’s love. Still haven’t seen episode 8 :/
Thanks for the good review, Steve ❤️

How condescending was that commander presuming those girls were ill and about to infect his son with germs! The misogyny is too much.

I think the daughter telling June she wanted to have babies was just because she felt she had to. She looked really afraid when she answered :/

I think part of June's motivation to save the children was actually by talking to the young girl in the corridor, when she asked "is that what you want?", although the girl answered with "yes, of course" you could see in her face and in her voice that it's actually not what she wants. She's giving the answer she has to give in order to avoid punishment or reprimand. She says yes, but I interpreted from her voice and body language that she meant no.

June wanting to kill ofmatthew and the unborn baby reminds me little of "Beloved". To June she will be saving both of them by ending their life. I am happy June is back to herself it is a relief. The Handmaid's Tale reminds me of slavery. Now she wants to get has many children she out of Gilead. Up north to Canada. This is my personal opinion it's not meant to offend anyone. But there is a lot of similarity when there was slavery in the United States.

Janine's eyepatch... That's the consolation prize? Space pirate?!

Also, June was ready to kill Serena and end it all. How is she still getting away with all this shit? I'm still Team June but suspending my disbelief is getting harder.
