GOING TO THE HOSPITAL IN TIRANA... Not The Typical Van Life Journey
Snow and Curt are full time van life travelers that have been on the road for almost five years in their Tiny House on Wheels. From Mexico to Central America to South America... and now in Europe, they have had many amazing adventures! But, they have also suffered their share of hardships... Like Snow having a heart attack in Peru and being diagnosed with Heart Failure in Argentina. That could have been the end of their van life journey, but they decided to alter their travel style, slow down, and stay on the road! That comes with some risk... like finding the necessary cardio care in foreign countries around the world. This time... it is a trip to the hospital in Tirana Albania.

I have been following since just before your heart attack. I always worry when you start breathing hard on your hikes or walks. I’m so thrilled to hear that your checkup went so well! You are the rock star, Snow! I hope you had a great trip home to your family.

So glad all your tests went well. Your honesty and openness about your heart condition is so inspiring! Just goes to show you that medical issues don't have to end your dreams, you simply have to adapt them. In a world full of negativity you two are a beacon of optimism and determination. Thank you.

You are such an inspiration, Snow. You have not let your medical issues stop you from your amazing journey. You are living large…one day at a time.

your honesty and detail describing your heart attack will help someone else know what is happening if it happens to them. Thank you for being such a spokesperson for understanding your health and determined to heal. I had my second one right about the same time and walking your journey with you helped me walk mine. Live every single day to the fullest!

Long flight home. Stay hydrated, wear compression knee high socks (I like the Sockwell brand) and maximize circulation by moving around (leg exercises and stretching in your seat). Hope you are able to sleep on a plane.

Your $70 cardiologist visit in Albania would’ve cost almost $1000 in the US. Incredible! I have to be honest I thought Albania was a fictional country for some reason. Surprised to learn it’s a place I’d like to visit in person . Lots to offer

As a nurse I understand about heart failure. You are doing great. It's manageable, and you are going to have a great life! I have followed you since Mexico. When you got locked down. Just keep up the good work!! Beautiful country. Great video. Thanks for sharing

Snow & Curt, what a blast of great news on the 6 month checkup. It just seemed to be easy to go through. Your faces say it all & lets you feel at ease. Now for Curt’s leg to relax. See you Sunday Cheers

We just left Metropolitan in Quito for yearly checkups. EKG, Pacemaker check ( battery life), one hr Dr consultation $140! We were in awe of the care and compassion we received at this State of the art facility. Keep up the good work Snow! ❤

Flying a long distance is very hard on our bodies. Please be careful. If you have any problems immediately alert the staff. The pilot will make an emergency landing to an area with the nearest hospital. I won’t worry you with horror stories about my heart patients, just be careful . ❤

❤ As a nurse, I do understand the devastation of getting that news in the first place when you had your heart attack. But the body is a miraculous thing. The kidneys are so wonderful... the things they do when you study anatomy the physiology. It just blows your mind
. Those doctors seem like they're very up on the newest thing. Because there's a new medicine out there. So that's all good news for you.

I had a Echocardiogram done 1 year after my defibrillator was inserted. My EF went from 19 to 40. My doctor here in New Mexico was very happy. I was too. So glad to hear that you are doing well. Love each and every one of your videos. Cheers guys❤

I Pray 🙏 for you to have good lab results. A bmp tells you different things like sodium levels glucose levels carbon dioxide levels potassium levels and a few more but a CMP measures same above plus quite a few more.
