To be honest, you do need to have talent to look at muted brown colours, naked trees and rusty steel, and make it into something interesting but not depressing. A lot of times the photos taken at such locations can give a sense of sadness, which isn’t inherently bad, but probably wouldn’t be called a “pretty picture”. Good job with adding back some life to an empty space.

These photos turned out great! No such thing as an "ugly" location, you just gotta find the right angles, evidently :P Hey Jessica, do you have any tips for taking photos of black and white things in bright sunlight? I'm guessing you might not deal with photographing animals super often but this could apply to clothing too I suppose. I mean, if you set your exposure based on the black, the white gets blown out like crazy, and if you do on the white, the black gets hecked. A video on how to battle this would be very interesting imo :)
