Awesome to know Turkish company is doing well on electric yacht

I was a bit(lot really) sceptical about marine electrical propulsion but having seen electric catamarans on other channels I realise that as long as the solar panels are sett up correct with the batteries and motors then they are a viable proposition and infinite travel is possible. It does help of course in more sunnier climates than the arctic northern waters 😎 Cheers

Was that the Bering 145 in the background?

Amazing power plant system. Would love to see that system used in the Long-Range "Britt" you covered.

Very interesting boat. I’m a bit disappointed in upper range performance. I not a speed freak, but would like to have a bit more top end when needed, say 17-19 knots — I also know this is directly impacts electricity generation. I wonder what option there might be for larger generators, kilowatt motors, and battery storage ( i also imagine this impacting the size of the boat). I wonder how much contention there is between propulsion and house systems use there is on this boat. As we see with aging Naval vessels, their upgrade capabilities are limited by their power generation limits. Wonderful Video and you’re right, this is the future.

Horses for courses when it comes for electric. This is a silent, fume free party boat for island hopping and marina partying. Impressing girls wearing not a lot. Nicely built, I saw it in the yard a while back, good solid technology. Not for crossing oceans though, electric and a semi planing hull cannot achieve a realistic range. But for short day trips between picturesque ports.... well yes.

Cool boat ...but a hydro generator? How could that possibly work? Anchor in a current is the only thing I can think of. Hydro generators only work on sail boats...where they can be very effective.

is this a Bering product? couldn't help but notice the Bering shed and the 145 next to it.

I can't stop thingking turning the sunpad in the bow into another solar panel series so it can be more self-reliant out at sea... And that will be the mono-hull version of silent yachts.

Care about the enviroment? So which enviromentally friendly batteries are they using?

The electric propulsion and the range are attractive but the design certainly is not - way to boxy / slabby / rudimentary for my liking, and clearly the boat needs a lot of finessing before it could be considered ready for delivery. From the looks of the boat I initially assumed it was a test mule. Regardless, it's good to see low consumption propulsion systems being more widely adopted.

If solar only 2 hr how to cross ocean travel overseas Long distance ??power and range of rough sea the prop is not strong enough

The future is coming. Better batteries is coming. Better electrical motors is coming. More efficient solar panels is coming. More competition is coming and $1.8m will go down. The future is coming.

for me way too bright inside! There should be more solar panels like on Sunreef yachts integrated in the hull. The Fly should be longer and the battery bank much bigger. But its the first or almost the first of its kind. A company in Istanbul do the same but since years... They would give me with a 24 meter yacht Diesel/Hybrid yacht almost 3000 nm range. But its a nice looking gem!

Sloppy workmanship on the roof solar panels. The Greenline Hybrids seem faster and more efficient. I like the interior accent lighting though.

This marine technology way too slow outdated

I'm sorry, but green without legs is a pass. At least put some sails on it.

The world isnt ready for electric boats nor vehicals it still takes fossil fuel to power everything so whats the pay back? The boat is nice looking tho

I think electrics have to be catamans. This hull moves too inefficiently through the water and clearly shows its current lack of stabilization.

To the environment it can be efficient but how about the electromagnetic waves to the human?
