Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on YouTube, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on YouTube. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on YouTube, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

"That's The Way of The World, " by Earth Wind & Fire. It is FIRE!

Love this funky jazzy group. They covered many genres of music. You've done a few of their songs already. They had a lot of hits in the 70's-80's such as "Got To Get You Into My Life", "September", "Boogie Wonderland", "Let's Groove", "Reasons", "Sing A Song", "After The Love Is Gone" etc.

Earth Wind & Fire is one of my favorite bands of all time. So much beautiful and awesome music to explore.

It's kind of funny how young people are so focused on the genres. In the 70s, the only genres that really mattered were the ones that defined radio station programming, such as Soul/R&B, Top 40 Pop, Rock, Disco, Country, Adult Contemporary, Oldies (50s and 60s), and Spanish. That's about as granular as most people got.

EW&F "Fantasy" has been one of my favorite songs for almost 50 years.

A couple of fantastic songs on this album are the title song, Gratitude (super funky), as well as a slow jam Can’t Hide Love.

This is the first time hearing of EWF, this is one of the most successful band in American Music, rock and roll hall of fame band, their Catalog is huge, and their Music is epic, just saw them last year in Vegas and they are still rocking, go down this rabbit hole. Maurice White and Verdine White are brothers…….

Love the way the horns come in strong. Greatest band. Such a groove. You can't talk 70's music without talking about EWF.

Fantastic, Shawn. For something else that's really funky and edgy and was also a hit, Serpentine Fire.

I like what you were saying about it's great when sometimes the bass guitar and drums can stand out and that we do tend to focus more on the front and center stuff. Which is the whole idea of it. But as a seasoned multi-instrumentalist myself, whenever I'm listening to music, and believe me it makes it so enjoyable, I'm pretty much identifying every part and trying to dig as much nuance as I can out of the mix for it. And then I listen to the whole thing together, and then I'll stay with one instrument for a while, but you're still hearing everything else along with it, like a big jigsaw puzzle.

It's something that I really love about music, and it comes up in composition, arrangement, execution, tracking, mixing, etcetera. Whether it's a lot or a little, every part has to absolutely be there or else it shouldn't be there.

Also, one of my favorite Funk bass lines of all time and I have tons of them, believe me, is the early seventies hit by Stevie Wonder, Boogie On Reggae Woman. I bet that would make a fantastic reaction for you. Make sure to find the slightly longer version, because there are some versions floating around where they fade out the outro too soon and you miss out on more of his exceptional harp playing.

So much top-notch music came out of Caribou Ranch. I remember being incredibly saddened when it burned down.

Personally I classify them as simply Earth Wind and Fire an absolutely unique band of their own. No need for trying to figure out a genre for them, just an incredible band.

Without a doubt the funkiest band of the 70s. Excellent musicians.

Labels are unimportant when the music is this good. Just enjoy something that will probably never come around again in our lifetime.

Man, you have been missing out on another BIG time group from the 70's who are still performing today! They had bunches of hits!

Loved this song at 13 yrs old, but now when I hear it I see Will Ferrell and Cheri O'Teri doing their cheerleading skits on SNL! Shawn, you should look up that skit, it's hilarious.🙂
Thanks for your reactions, you do so many and still get into the meat of the music.

Big rabbit hole of hits! "September", "After The Love is Gone", "Reasons", "Boogie Wonderland", "Let's Groove". I would recommend "Boogie Wonderland" next.
