Lamb to the slaughter, imo. Even though Bivol has been out of the ring for a hot minute, he's levels above.! I don't see this ending well for Richards, especially as I'd put money on Bivol out pointing Beterbiev.! Bless up bro

I like it. Not least because Glasgow rarely gets a sunny day. I’m totally team Richards on this. The truth is there’s always a big jump from British to world level, it’s highly unlikely a fighter can get that intermediate contender opponent since they’re all protecting their ranking so he may as well roll the dice. Spider is in with a slim chance. He’s athletic, hits hard and hungry. Bivol is another league for skill set but he’s lost momentum and hasn’t looked like he can move through the gears in recent fights. If he’s hindered by ring rust and complacency he could get a nasty surprise on the scorecards.

I like Richards but this seems like at least 2 fights too early. Should have been given a chance to step up to world level to prove himself first, but with big events going on weekly guys are being thrust onto the big stage and it’s sink or swim. Bivol is teak tough and schooled Joe Smith who hardly laid a glove on him, but if Richards can stay in there and move well, he has power and that gives him a chance. Best of luck Spider.

Also should of gave the chance to any other British lhw but not really complaining Richards will give it his all and it’s a comeback fight for Bivol so it’s understandable, hopefully he fights another British lh after
