Most of the best things to do in Annapolis involve exploring its history. Start by visiting the Hammond-Harwood House, Maryland State House, or William Paca House. They’re both marvels of architecture and important historical buildings. You’ll feel as if you’re walking through time and traveling back into the American Revolution as you traverse their grounds.

Annapolis also has a range of museums to enjoy, including the Banneker-Douglas and Maritime Museum. It’s also the only place in the world with a museum dedicated entirely to cryptology, the study of making and breaking codes.

Coastal towns live and die by their waterfront features. Watch or browse expensive boats at Ego Alley and the United States Sailboat Show or take a boat ride on the Chesapeake Bay.

Natural beauty abounds around the city. Visit Sandy Point State Park or Quiet Waters Park to get a taste of it.

There’s plenty to eat in Annapolis, and visiting its restaurants is one of the best things to do in the city. Get breakfast at Chick and Ruth’s Delly, taste some of the best seafood in the area at Canter’s Riverside Inn, or have an ice cream cone at the Annapolis Ice Cream Company.

The Historical District contains many of the best things to do in Annapolis if you’re coming for the history. Eastport is an equally engaging neighborhood with boat races, beautiful views, restaurants, and more.

Seeing all of these sites in one trip is difficult, but booking a trolley tour is the best way to experience as much as possible.

Some good content but some also some terrible information, both spoken and visual. The visuals of Eastport are from Eastport, Maine, not Annapolis. Why not show the real subject of your comments? The Eastport across the creek from downtown Annapolis has so much to offer. Great views of downtown at 2:59 is also from Maine, not Annapolis. Boat rides on the Chesapeake show views from Annapolis as well as other boat and places nowhere near Annapolis. The Ft Meade Cryptologic museum has no connection to Annapolis and is a boring ride far from Annapolis, noting wrong with that museum but I am not sure why it is even mentioned. Some photos of the Annapolis Wednesday night sailboat races are also from somewhere else other than Annapolis, why? There are so many dramatic scenes from those races, why splice in generic stuff from somewhere else? Not to mention the trolley tour sequence, good lord! palm trees? In Annapolis? Since when? There are trolley tours in Annapolis, why not represent them? St Anne's Church is a signature building at the top of main street so why show a church from somewhere else that is not even remotely similar in shape or style. At least you do show a nice drone view of the real church.

They call Annapolis the sailing capital of the U.S. That's strange, I always thought Marblehead, Massachusetts, was the sailing capital.
