The Gospel of Judas caused a huge stir when National Geographic published it back in 2006. But to this day, misconceptions about this text abound. Who wrote this text? And what does it really say?

I've recently found your channel and have subscribed after watching several of your presentations. It's so nice to see a presentation about religions that's purely academic and not biased toward any of them. I've loved to study religions myself as a hobby. In Greek the word "demon" or "δαίμονα" is used jokingly to describe someone who's giving you a hard time, or who's causing trouble. It can be used from a parent to their child jokingly and not in the context you explained in that video.

If Jesus would have called Judas a demon it could just be done jokingly
