After Effects Scripting Tutorial: How to Make a Dockable Script

Today I show you how to create a script that you can dock inside of After Efffects. These type of scripts are useful if you have a script that you use often, or needs attention from AE.

Love you work man, thanks so much for these tutorials, I am new to Scripting but wanted to ask is it possible to add a textbox so that when you press the "Create Comp" button the Comp name is based on what is in the text input. What I am trying to do is exactly this but I would like the " Create Comp" button to create a comp and then a text layer as well based on the comp name which was based on the text in the input box. Would really appreciate your help, for now I'll keep trying lol Thanks

man idk if you ever going to read this, but i have no code experience and i made a script for after effects, but when i open it on after effects it opens a dockable script with nothing on it, and then my script on another window that i cant dock. can someone help me with that?

this is great, I love that you make tutorials on ExtendScript but man, you're doing it too fast. I imagine most people are watching this because they have no clue how to make a dockable script. Even though I have a little bit of experience in JS, I was pretty much unable to follow, even at .5 the speed because there are so many unique things in there. A little slower with more explanations would improve this by 400% if you ask me. It's a great tutorial though, no doubt! Thanks a lot man

I was wondering how to for example mix this with the other tutorial you have done "how to add an image to the script". My question is which part is for creating the UI and which part is for creating the buttons. When I try to for example add the Var logo, it doesn't work. I must be placing it in the wrong place.
