Why Operational Training Is Critical: U.S. Marshals High Risk Fugitive Arrest Training

During my time in DEA, I found that we spent an average of 40-50 hours per year taking in-service training on a variety of topics of interest to higher management, to include legal and policy updates, motivational talks, etc. While not discounting that training, the most valuable training that can be given to operational officers is tactical training. The USMS has a program in place to provide every DUSM and Task Force Officer assigned to Fugitive Task Forces 40 hours a year. Unfortunately, this training is not being implemented, something I find common to federal LE agencies.

Great videos as always. Curious, why would someone choose to do federal law enforcement over local police etc?

If you work for a fed agency and get your own additional training from the outside, do they frown upon that?
