As expected, Manish Malhotra's Winter Festive 2016 collection left us all dazzled.
Whimsical and dreamy, decked ostentatiously in royal tones from the colour pallette, the garments combined the best of traditional ethnic wear with a strong contemporary infusion.
Flounces of tulle, intricate embroidery, resham threadwork, sprinkled sequins and painstaking embellishments all came alive in floor-kissing gowns, dramatic lehengas and quintessential sarees apt for the approaching celebratory season in India.
The show also marked the first-ever virtual reality stint in India in partnership with Etihad airlines, where the designer aimed to amaze viewers with the feeling of actually being physically present at the show; from backstage to the front row and even the post show party.
A statement in his own name, Manish Malhotra continues to surprise us - and with a guest list that includes crush-worthy faces (read: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty, Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan, Shradha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput), who wouldn't be swooning!!??
