I usually pack the day before for smaller trip and start packing few days before for bigger ones. I'm going to see my family for a week as well on Sunday, so I don't really need to take much. I have some house clothes there and pyjamas, and I'll use my parents toiletries. I think I could pack in just backpack but I usually take hand luggage as well - I get back pain easily so it's easier for me to drag a suitcase rather than carry everything on my back!

My first time back packing around the world in 2001... i took 3 hair brushes and 3 walkman type devices!!! HAHAHAHA

I'm the same way, I used to pack waaaay early cause I would get excited but now I try to leave it until close to the time, cause I always end up needing to use things until pretty much the night before I go. I do make lists about what I'm going to need to pack basically as soon as I know I'm going on a trip, because that gives me time to think about what I have already, whether I'm really going to need it, and if there is anything that I need to get ahead of time. More often than not I end up cutting down what I take because I start with an overly excited idea about all the stuff I need and then I slowly start to think more realistically about space and weight and I start to reconsider things.

For longer term travel have to bring big stock of meds and warm clothes as asthmatic but still determined to use a 30l and 25l daypack together weigh less than 1 kg unpacked.

I used to start weeks in advance but now I do it a day or two before, although I still make the list earlier than that!

The advantage of staying with family is that you can use some of their things, and use their washing machine, when I go to my mother's I use her toothpaste and shampoo and stuff like that also if I really needed a 2nd jumper I could borrow one say while mine dried, though on the other hand I need to take scottish products for her which I would'nt take if going to a hotel or similar

Hi, how du you keep the Wayks clean? Mine was showing dark markes after a few uses especially at the bottom of the bag an at the lower part of the bag, where the jeans scretches.

How do people sleep in their underwear when it's freezing? I wear underwear, a vest, socks, pyjamas and a plush little jacket over the top. I seem to be colder than other people.

Hi! I love your videos! I have a question about the backpack: I would like to buy the day pack but I'm hesitating because with the cube you can have a very comfortable hip strap. I saw on your videos that you have an hip strap anyway but in the website I didn't see this option. Does it comes with the daypack? Or you had to buy it separately?

Take lip balm! If you wear lip balm your lips are always dry and uncomfortable without it. I've never been able to stop using it.
