I tend to make a lighter pine syrup which I have with seltzer; it's a very refreshing drink for warm weather.

I seen it said certain pines and anise star has the same ingredients as used in tamiflu. But for a long time people would use new growth to make a syrup in case they got sick. I read something where some even make a jelly.
Like elderberry I seen it said it is antiviral, making the little fingers fall off that normally would geab hold of healthy cells. Which makes a good jelly too.

You can also eat these just from the tree. Of course it be better to wash them. Or you can just get the juices and spit it out
