Releasing a video on 47 things to do in Japan after Japan just announced that they would not be allowing visitors to enter the country. We truly live in a society

I wonder how many different hard drives these older clips were stored across… this series has already made December!

Chris's recollection of various prefectures: This food was here, this food was here, I liked this food here, this place has amazing beef, this place has chicken wings, this place has ramen...

You can't travel, but at least you have a Custom Ramen shop at your disposal.

That doesn't serve Ramen.

Watching this video is like a "greatest hits" of the Abroad in Japan channel. You've done so much in terms of bridging the gap for westerners to Japan, Japanese culture, and what in Japan is worth seeing outside of the standard Tokyo/Kyoto defaults. I hope you (and Japan) realize just how much you've contributed to spreading Japanese culture worldwide. Thank you for doing what you do.

You can really tell what Chris cares about when he makes a list of things to do in Japan off the top of his head and it's almost all food.

Japan goes into lockdown, restricting any tourism... Chris Broad -- "Now is an excellent time for a what to do in Japan video."

Chris: "I'm going to tell you one thing to do in each of the 47 prefectures".
Also Chris: "Saitama, not a big fan of it....All the people in Trash Taste lived there until they moved to somewhere that was good".
So, according to Chris, the one thing to do in Saitama Prefecture is move to somewhere else.

It's amazing that Chris and his gang brought the whole, if not, the not often seen or unseen Japan to his viewers. his filming and editing technique are also amazing!

There you go, he was able to finally shoot the "drunk man in dispair in a shady corner" scene he was always raving about :P

Few additional recommendations (Aomori, Tochigi, Shimane):
2) Aomori also has the Nebuta festival in summer. If you haven't checked it out, you definitely should if it ever allows visitors again. It is also one of the most impressive festivals all over Japan.
I also found it relatable what you said about Yamagata pref to have a special place in your heart. For me it was Aomori, where I spent my first year in Japan. My very first stay was in Shimane tho, which is also why I can give a good recommendation for when you go there again (↓).
9) Tochigi's main city, Utsunomiya, is only famous for Gyoza, which will be disappointing once you eat them, but for people who are fans of bars, Utsunomiya apparantly is an infamous bar town with many more or less famous bartenders. The beef in Tochigi is also extremely delicious.
33) Shimane has one of the most important Shinto shrines in all of Japan, considered to be the oldest one. It is called Izumo Taisha and is probably Shimanes biggest tourist attraction. Foodwise it is also famous for soba and green tea, which is freshly produced there so it is very delicious. My husband and I actually plan to have our marriage ceremony at Izumo Taisha, because it is THE Shinto shrine for marriage. It was also the first Shinto shrine I ever visited when I was in Japan, I didn't understand at all the importance of it lol

I live in Fukushima, and besides Kitakata ramen and Sazaedo temple I would recommend visiting Ouchi-juku (a village from the Edo period), Goshiki-numa (five lakes with five colors) and lake Inawashiro too. Minamiaizu is beautiful in the autumn, i would recommend going by train (which has kotatsu seats as well with heating). Beautiful prefecture and very much underrated!
