This channel is so underrated... definitely the best Jitz instructionals on Youtube. This video is going to my library as the "definitive" guide to submissions from the kesa. Just amazing. I specially loved the detail about finishing the "americana" by pulling the head instead on cranking with the hips. I learned from more than one instructor to do the opposite, and probably because of that I never trusted in this submission a lot before.

Holy crap, that was YEARS worth of experience compressed into just a few minutes. Ridiculously SICK skillz.

Very nice. Been in a couple of those cranks before, horribly hard to breathe. Kesa is just a nice position. Love how you string together your options, looks great to drill.

Kesa my go to position for submissions anymore.
Also, I found out when you get the bas rutten, if you cross your ankles and extend them it makes the submission super tight.

I am an orange belt in judo. I only knew the following techniques: 2:12 (Sode Jime), 2:33 (Ude Garame with the leg), and 3:07 (Kata Jime). Thank you for posting this video!

After watching several kesa videos from many different high level bjj players, and having a few years of experience in the sport... there is an incredible display of knowledge here. I've never heard of or seen several of these. Great video.

I haven't rolled with anyone for a few months now due to this stupid virus bollocks. But was a good catch up with some of my favourite chokes. Thankyou coach.

Beautiful sequence. The way true skill is taught. One must know a series from each postion to truly master the combat arts.

I agree with Anton. I have a hard time working out of this position even when i drill it. It can be a very difficult position to get out of if the Person is heavy especially
