In this short video I have shared how to transcribe any video to text which can be used as YouTube captions.

Convert any video or audio to text - This method can be used to convert any video to text which can be used as captions or subtitles later on with the video or as a separate file wherever you want. And it’s FREE.

Create subtitles for YouTube - In the later part of the video I have shared how to use this method in adding captions to your YouTube videos.

Sometimes YouTube does translate automatically but sometimes it just fails. In those cases we have to manually add captions and dialogues to the video which can be a cumbersome task. In those cases this method could be extremely beneficial.

I have tried to make quick and short video on this so that I don’t use much of your time in case you do not like this method. But I hope it does :)

To make this work, when you go to 'Open sound settings' in the ‘Choose your output device’ dropdown menu select ‘Voicemeeter input…’ and in the ‘Choose your input device’ dropdown menu select ‘Voicemeeter output…’ It's not enough just to change the input setting. But otherwise, a very useful video. Thanks.

Mubot, I like that you created a Windows/docs/tube tool for this. However, what about transcribing and CC options where the computer dictated word is highlighted (within the displayed caption) as it reads it? Is there a way YouTube highlights, indexes the current read-a-loud word as it dictates that? Do you know of anyone video editor where you can supply the transcription file, train the computer to recognize and highlight each word it's reading? Cool

Thank you for the tutorial. I am having problems with sound. I put the input device as you say but it does not work :-(, the microphone test does not show any meter movement, but if set to microphone the meter moves, I really do not know what to do. I have tried soundflower and others, no result :-( (windows 10 on predator)
