Bobby Hatfield is the only voice that gives me chills every time I see him or hear him sing. The ONLY one. He is a miracle . Thank God.

Having served in Vietnam with my brothers and sisters, this is what we wanted to go home to. This song tells it. I could not put it in better words.

1965...the Vietnam War separated so many lovers. Unchanged Melody was the song that made me cry every night he was gone.

Imagine being able to just open your mouth and have that sound come pouring out.. Just amazing, only 25 years old here, so handsome and such a beautiful performance!

I can guarantee you this guy practiced singing this song hundreds of times before singing this live. Yes, an incredibly talented artist, but I bet he was a perfectionist, which makes the difference between a very good performance and a legendary performance. All live, too. People don't realize how much this guy must have loved singing this song. So effortlessly. But what came out of his mouth was hours and hours of singing discipline, natural capability and pure soul. Softly controlled. Every note. One of the finest live performances ever recorded in the history of television. What a phenomenal artist.

I'm with you Suzanne L., Bobby just opens his mouth and that glorious noise comes out. If I could sing like that I would never talk, just sing to thank God.

Such a rich and tender voice. A total professional who gives his all. He is immersed in his singing and we can all feel the emotions that he is projecting. He is a true musician a true entertainer. A pure counter tenor. Not given the recognition he’s due. The world has lost a great talent.
