You know you’re in a bad neighborhood when you’re are concerned with the stop signs 😂

This is the most over dramatic commentating I’ve ever heard. You compared it to a war zone a million times, said it was sketchy, mentioned no one stopping at stop signs while people literally were. You were tripping so hard, it was unbelievably cringe. You acting like that will get you caught up if you keep going to areas spooked like that.

This dude saw nothing and convinced himself to be terrified.

I have never seen someone so confused by a stop sign at an intersection. 😂

This was sad, humorous and scary all at the same time. I grew up in ESL, the south-end section where you gained access to the highway to St. Louis. ESL was poor during my time there in the 60s and 70s, but there were thriving businesses all over the city and the downtown sidewalks were always crowded with shoppers. Seeing it now is hard to believe. I barely recognized some of the locations. The humorous part is hearing the nervousness in the voices of those totally unfamiliar with this type of environment. But you were justified in being nervous driving through there at night. Even in my day you needed to be cautious. But my amusement turned to real concern when you reached the highway... and then turned left. I was like, "What the hell are you doing?!?!" 😮 You were heading into the heart of my neighborhood. Not a good thing for you two to do at night. It is really dark there... and has always been. I left ESL in 1978 and rarely visit. But when I do, because I have family there, my heart breaks because it is a soulless shell of what it once was.😪

I remember reading a story about a US Marine in Iraq from East STL; he said he felt safer in Iraq than he did back home in East STL.

I almost yanked my hair out listening to you talk about stop signs for 10 minutes

People stop at stop signs there believe me. I deliver food in that area all the time. Won't you take your ass out of the car and talk to a few people in the community you'll see that they're proud of where they live every place has problems. You keep saying war zone and I don't see anything at all going on in the city

U can tell this dude is completely out of his element lol. Its sad cause hes completely on edge like hes on his first tour in iraq, or a fuckin wild tiger safari, but the city is full of amazing ppl. I cant blame him for being cautious tho. Its better than dicking around like he owns the place.

In 1959 East St. Louis was awarded as an All America City by the National Civic League when the City had over 80, 000 people.

Here’s the thing about all of these dangerous neighborhoods: if you look like you don’t belong then you’ll be a target. If you look alert and sure of where you’re going (but not aggressive), you’ll be fine.

For the love of God...were you able to determine is they stopped at the top signs? Please say it again

In East St Louis you never fully stop at a stop sign.

If you wanted to be in the more dangerous part of east St. Louis you would’ve taken the back roads or the less lit streets. I’ve traveled on those main roads and nothing has ever happened to me

Would have been more interesting to do a video in the late spring or summertime when more people are out in the streets. Based on the day you uploaded the video and the leafless trees, you are driving through during the safest time of the year, the dead of winter. Violent crimes to include assault, carjacking, burglaries, etc., are much more frequent during the warm weather. May I suggest you do a follow-up video sometime on a warm night between May and August. You will definitely get a better taste of what E. St. Lou has to offer.

Back in the Sixties & Seventies our family would spend a lot of time in East St Louis. It was a very clean city with a nice shopping district. Over the course of time things have changed.
