Efficiency and flexibility

Highest efficiency in final assembly, the most complex craft in automobile production, remains one of the greatest challenges in vehicle series production. A very large number of manual, non-standardised processes needs to be optimized, always keeping an eye on growing demands for variability and flexibility of the production lines, on cost efficiency, process robustness and high product quality. An assembly-optimised vehicle construction, intelligent process planning as well as the constant evaluation of possibilities with new production technologies - as is an ergonomically optimized process design and an efficient deployment of staff.

In this situation, the Automotive Circle International conference Assembly Engineering again offered an intensive and international exchange of information for more than 70automotive engineers working in final assembly, gathering its international network in Bad Nauheim, Germany, on 24 and 25 February 2015 to discuss progress in all aspects of the technology, planning and organization of automobile final assembly lines.
