Configuring and Understanding NIC Teaming in Server 2016

In this movie we show how to configure NIC teaming in Server 2016 and explain the different teaming modes. NIC teaming gives us load balancing and redundancy with our networking and is very easy to configure in Windows Server 2016.

I just want to add that on a Hyper-V server with two virtual network adapters, you don't have all the possibilities as with a real server and two physical network adapters.
In case you are wondering why you don't have all the choices in the NIC properties and you don't have all the additional properties available.

What happens if you team in “switch independent” mode and the switch that the active NIC is plugged into loses its uplinks to the rest of the network but remains UP (for example, a network uplink module in the switch had a fault)? Will windows detect that and fail over to the other NIC that’s still on a switch that’s uplinked?

its this just for redundancy or can you also get a virtual 2gb connection ? (x2 1gb ports joined) and also would the server still use same IP address or would it now have 2 ?
