With depression you have two inner voices. One of them tell you to " just go and talk with parents about this" and another one "Maybe I'm just overly dramatic". T_T

I wish parents would start recognizing the signs of depression and anxiety of thier kids instead of always asking them why they are acting a certain way. (If that makes any sense) I struggle with all of these except the 2nd one she mentioned, Anxiety Especially.

I mean, I never thought that I REALLY have depression, because I had some symptoms showing in this video but I wasn’t sure and I thought that’s just normal because I was like this since I was little and no one ever told me that I have mental issues. Then after this video, I think I may have depression, but, who’s gonna care anyways, not even my parents know a thing about depression and mental issues, they always think that “teenagers” are all like this. Anyways, I’m glad that now I’m sure that i got diagnosed and maybe try to help myself or maybe not.

Depression is being surrounded by a thick fog and inside that fog, something is hunting you. Something black, oily, and mindlessly evil. It wants the "spark" that makes you who you are, dead.

For all those going through depression, I just wanna tell you that you are valuable and important. Know that things will get better and eventually you'll find a new chapter, new beginnings in life that will facilitate you to get out of depression. Coming from someone who has faced chronic depression for a very long time and eventually learned to get out of it whenever an episode occurs. One heartiest suggestion I'll give you is that don't feed into the depression. Force yourself to get out of isolation, to go out and spend time in nature, to exercise regularly, even if it's a little, to take care of your diet, and sleeping routine. I know it's REALLYY hard in the beginning when you are stuck in deep depression. Just start with one tiny small change and then keep growing, after a few days it will get easier and easier, and you'll notice a huge shift in the quality of your thoughts and the overall mental and emotional state you're in. I know this is very cliche and basic advice, but sometimes we need to get back to the basics. This has worked for me in the long term, I really hope it does for you too..
