You are right, concrete as you well know, is EXTREMELY UNFORGIVING, those big concrete contractors would not hesitate to turn a loaded concrete truck away.
My dad told me, don't feel sorry for anybody but yourself, when you are working in bad conditions, that you could have prevented.
