"Easy fix". I have a hard enough time changing wiper blades.

The WJ's with the 4.7s have issues with valve seats. The 4.7 has aluminum heads and steel valve seats and if you overheat it badly the valve seats come loose and possibly cause major damage to the engine. My 01 did this but fortunately it did not do any damage but I had to remove the cylinder heads and have all the valve seats replaced. Rocker arms that pop off also are a problem with the 4.7. Usually happens to engines that don't get serviced properly such as oil changes. Keep the oil clean and you will probably be ok.

Great video! You forgot to mention the cooling fan relay behind the bumper, under the passenger headlight.

One common issue I've had is the electric fan sensor that is under the headlight

I have the tail light issue now. Watched your other video and how to fix it. Much appreciated. I’ve also had to replace the radiator, rotors, brakes and calipers. A new fuel tank skid plate cover because I live in the Midwest. Ball joints upper and lower in the front, replaced the tire rod, replaced the hub assemblies on both front wheels. New battery and new front headlights to get rid of those ugly old headlights. Going to continue working on more steering components and replacing the shocks and the coil springs if needed. Also going to replace the entire rear ball joint assembly sometime soon to keep it running smoothly. I have a 1999 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0 V6. It only has 130, 000 miles on it and I expect this jeep to run for a long time! I love this Jeep!

You named every problem I've had with mine. Wish I saw this when I was 16. I love how tough the 4.0 is. I hydolocked mine and it didn't blow up. Nor did the computer fry.

Those are all minor issues when compared to the real problem with the WJ . The 4.7 Liter engine is junk .

Good video, the only thing I'll add about blend doors, some are electric and some vacuum operated. The automatic temperature controls use the electric motors and these are the ones that frequently fail in old age. The more basic system (hot/cold dial) is vacuum operated and the problem is usually just a failed hose under the hood, a cheap and easy fix.

I have 02 overland. Blower motor resistor, cheapest leather seats EVER, fuel pressure regulator, oil pressure sensor.

I want a beater Cherokee, and I did find one for $500. It runs needs battery. How much should the whole engine transmission repair run me when we they do mess up. Just want something that’ll be less than $5, 000 in repairs/mods

Also the Crankshaft position sensor. Mine was bad and left me stranded for an hour one time. The mount had broken and wasnt connected well so I replaced it and the jeep hasn't shut off ever since

With the all Drive models the low range 4 wheel drive doesn't like to engage I've had it with three different transfer cases and it really sucks
