A game that didn't make the list but I think it's worth keeping an eye out for is Sea of Stars---not sure if it will release on consoles since for now it's in developement for PC, still, it's a VERY nice looking game that seems to capture the look and feel of Chrono Trigger but with a full original story of course. From the talented guys that brought us The Messenger, great game in its own right, I'm really curious to see how they'll fare in JRPG territory. I backed them up so I think it's worthwhile to keep an eye out (;

Wow I didnt know about Relayer or Maglam Lord! You may have to make a part 2 because there are many this year but even so 2022 is gonna be another solid JRPG year for sure. Keeping money in my pocket will be impossible haha! Thanks Erick!

I reserved Relayer on Playasia. I can’t wait. I love strategy rpgs and giant robots. It’s nice having a stand alone game.

Monark, Triangle Strategy, Eiyuden Chronicle, Sea of Stars, and Trails from Zero are what have me the most excited for this year. Relayer looks pretty cool, but I don't have a PS4 or PS5. Star Ocean: The Divine Force also looks promising and I'll probably get the PC version once it comes out.
