Let's admit, if it were reversed and the Pixel 2 XL had that notch (bad haircut or whatever you want to call it), it would be unacceptable for 2017.

I am an iPhone user but if I had to go with an android it would be the Pixel 2 XL.

iOS doesn't count screen on time 😑 That's the amount of time the phone is in use, phone calls, streaming music with the screen off, background tasks, etc. C'mon. You should know this.

Just got the color saturation update on my Pixel 2 XL.
Personally I prefer the less saturated option because colors look much more natural.
Edit: Also usage is not the same as screen on time.
Currently getting on average 5-6 hours of screen on time with Pixel 2 XL

iOS DOESNT COUNT SCREEN ON TIME. "USAGE" INCLUDES BACKGROUND TASKS.
VKTR_Tech
The iPhone doesn't tell you the screen on time. That's the total usage time including background processes. Come on, man.
abirbadami
Usage time is not equal to screen on time.

Not accurate color profile on Pixel2 xl? This guy seriously needs to do more homework. The problem is that most phones have over saturated displays that have become the norm. I for one don't mind more accurate colors: however I do like the "boosted" setting better than the "saturated" setting that was just pushed with the update. The saturated look is near identical to the S8+ color display profile but in my opinion the colors are blown out and you lose some detail.
I think the iPhone X is great especially the chipset but I think Android on the Pixel2 is hands down the better OS. Also - don't breeze over the loss of the fingerprint sensor. I think the face ID is cool, but it is very gimmicky...not as practical as the fingerprint sensor. I think this is actually a pretty big deal since you have to do it so often it really affects the user experience almost more than anything else.
Also - the S8+ and every OLED display has blue shift and burn-in issues. Actually the S8+ has a more severe blue-shift. It seems like there was smear campaign to really blow the Pixel 2XL's issues way out of proportion. The early-onset screen burn-in was never confirmed, and could very well just be image retention- which is a non-issue and very hard to distinguish from burn-in so early on.
TLDR: The Pixel 2XL screen issues other than the blue-shift - which is present in every OLED display - are a farce. I've observed no burn-in and the color profiles have been fixed to be more vibrant via software. The Pixel 2 XL is the best Android experience ever and if you like iOS better than Android, go with the iPhone 8 unless you really need that bigger screen. The bigger screen is nice but losing that finger print sensor is a deal breaker for me.

Stopped watching after "7 hours of screen time"

iPhone Usage stats is not the same as Screen On time. The iPhone could be in use without the screen on.

He says that this is a comparison between the pixel 2 and iphone X, but he seems to talk about the iphone x more than the pixel. He claims this is an unbiased review. But from watching this, it just seems very biased with the iphone X

I returned my iPhone X cause it stopped working when the temperature dropped below 32 degrees in Boston area. First time I experience such issue on a phone and it's unacceptable on a phone this expensive. Don't care if they fix it via software, it should not have happened in the first place.

Both amazing phones, but I went with the P2XL. The Pixel screen is not as bad as everyone says. It's great display it's just not the best. Glad Apple finally decided to go with OLED. It's a great display technology.

That the iPhone still doesn't allow users to choose/change default apps or make some basic customization even in 2017 is an absolute joke for a $1000 machine !

Where u got the wallpaper on the iPhone X from?
Snorlexxx
The Pixel has a terrible display?! How about the green lines, non-responsiveness, burn in and freezing display on the iPhone X? I guess apple gets a pass.
matthewdavisson
Where did you get the wallpaper on the Pixel 2 XL from? It looks gorgeous!

Respect to Dan for making a legitimately unbiased video pointing out legitimate concerns for both phones. Especially on a maccentric channel.

Usage on iphone isn't screen on time

Ok I'm sick of watching these video where people are absolutely slagging off the pixel 2 xl
All oled panels suffer with colour shift and burn in, this is the nature of the display Google have also released the new profiles to suit people but to say the display is terrible is just stupid!
Does the display show pixels?.. No
Is the display so bad that you can't use it .... NO
My goodness me people really need to get a grip! Samsung had to recall there note 7, iPhones had antenna gate and bend gate
