So I tested out 2400edpi in a warmupservers deathmatch against pretty skilled people. I can honestly say I was flicking like a boss, my movement was on point, I was covering every single angle, my sprays was like typing a easy line in paint. The only thing that could make it better was if I just hit atleast one shot out of my 30 mags fired.

10/10 experience

Ironically two months* ago I went from 1, 400 edpi. (800dpi x 1.7-2.0 sensitivity) and switched to 680 edpi. (800dpi x .85 sens) after 4K hours of CS and using my wrist to flick for years I’ve struggled mechanically in TRACKING opponents. It was not until I started watching coaching videos and heard the advice of lowering your sensitivity to the point of understanding when you are moving around the map you WILL pick up your mouse more. It doesn’t not feel natural at first but it changes something. Although you’re picking up mouse a ton to move around this allows you to track opponents MUCH easier WHEN IT MATTERS THE MOST.

I remember an interview from years ago (don’t remember what pro said this) but they said they use a lower sensitivity because once you get really good at the game you realize opponents are going to come from really tight angles and spaces and you will already be pre aiming such spaces so you normally do not need to be flicking all over the place. You hold and peek into designated areas with intention.

One would think the exception to the edpi is awping. But do not let that fool awpers into believing they need higher dpi. It just feels nice to flick but the idea that players in a real match only come from specific areas still applies just get used to it. I started at 800dpi 1.00 sens and went lower by 3 sens until I found an edpi I felt 100% natural in. Natual in popping heads not necessarily 360ing around the map or in DM. Which btw is the downfall to DM it builds bad habits like flicking and rushing or just staying in parts of the map that we are comfortable interacting in.
Edit: I’m level 7 faceit and 19k premier before changing my sensitivity so goes to show you how we will adapt to whatever we use but can still improve. There’s no doubt that tracking & high edpi has cost me tons of gun fights. Even some where my brain has put me in advantageous position or timing. That since has changed.

Before watching this video I am literally using 6750 edpi and After lowering it to 4000 I am still wondering why I was silver 1 in this game for so long😭

As an awper im currently at 905, which is only about a 105 higher that m0nesy and zywoo and they are absolutely insane with all guns. It depends on your role and playstyle. I think it comes down to movement, you should tune your sensitivity by how it feels to strafe and track opponents as well as how it feels to flick to different degrees on the screen. Copying someone's sens is useless. You don't have the same physique, setup, monitor distance, height table chair etc. and all of the things that can be seen in esl pro show setups videos. As a 2.3k on faceit, I personally like to switch from high to low senses a lot (because they develop different aiming techniques you can use on both) so it goes to show it really doesn't matter.

If anyone still wants to use 400dpi the in-game sense would be 1.61 btw

I saw your video this morning, went from 800dpi 1 sens to 1600 dpi 0.4 (because I also discovered today that the bigger the DPI the faster your mouse will respond)

I was struggling to find my sens, always searched between 800 to 1300 edpi but the answer was 640. Very very happy, and also very happy because the 1600 DPI feels much better than 800DPI in terms of latency.

Your video and the comments boosted me. Keep it up, thank you!

So a month ago I was playing at 1600 DPI and 1.7 sens (2720 EDPI), the best thing about this is when you are entering the site and clearing corners you basically don't even need to move the mouse, the hardest thing with this sensitivity is if someone is moving, you can't really track them accurately. This was also my CS GO setup and I reached faceit level 10 with 2600 elo, but right now I'm thinking of lowering everything since if someone has good movement I can't track them properly with my sens. Now my sens is 1600 DPI 1.2 Sens, tracking is easier but still not good enough.

I usually find many YouTubers spamming around for the content creation and their videos are just too vague.
But after a long time I find your video, believe me you are doing really great. Keep it up. It was crisp, informative, examples and outcome possibilities. So, yeah 10/10. SUBSCRIBED. And how do you conduct giveaways? I mean where can I be kept updated for stuff like this?

Finding a good sensitivity really comes down to depend on if youre an arm or wrist aimer. Wrist aimers generally have higher sens than arm aimers, which all of these players that you listed probably are.

EDPI of 520 since 1.6.... 400DPI x1.3... it was x 1.337 :) . I still suck, but I also don't play much; going as low as possible made the biggest difference in aiming.

i have average dpi of cs players at around 960 edpi via prosettings, you could consider whether they're awpers or not. i decided to use that (1600 dpi, 0.6 sens) and yeah it's not too slow. i could nudge down to 0.5 to meet your average number eventually but im pretty happy as is

The younger crowd coming into CS2 seems to be gravitating towards 1000 average eDPI.
Donk and Yuurih are stomping through their RMRs with 1000 eDPI.
That's still low compared to most other games but much higher than what the older pros play with.

I’m scared my sense is too low so I find this vid very helpful… I’ll mess around with the sensitivities even though my sense isn’t very far off the pro’s. It’s just that I find clearing angles rather difficult, for example out of B apps on mirage, peeking between Get right and van is super straining xd
Loving the videos man, keep them coming !!

I think 700 is the sweet spot when it comes to CS sens, but when you consider that most of the players or at least a high percentage of them solo q, and don't have a specific role in the game then I'd say a higher sens would be better at least from my experience, BTW my eDPI is 600(0.75 x 800dpi) and I mostly play as an entry

My eDPI was 1200 before - will definitely try this out 👍🏼 Thanks so much for the tip.

I tried the pros sens, and I have to do an entire swipe just to do 90 degrees with my mouse almost falling off the pad and many swipes just to do a 180. Literally feels unplayable, and my arm would be worn out after a few rounds
