Kelpak on hazelnuts - Oregon

The Kelpak team recently paid a visit to the Oregon State University hazelnut experimental farm where Dr. Nik Wiman confirmed that the Kelpak trial conducted on hazelnuts in 2023 showed significant positive results on hazelnut yields. The most impressive yields were achieved using the standard Kelpak program for hazelnuts, which involves three applications of 3 pts/Ac prior to and during fertilization.
With these excellent results in hand the trial program has been extended for another year. Dr Wiman is currently evaluating the impact of experimental mid-season and post-harvest applications on yield and nut quality for the current season.
