This moment in gaming history wouldn't have been as bad if we knew Nintendo would preserve this library. And this is why people resort to piracy whether for the convenience like it's on the go or on a system they have at the time but now it's because there are games that might not see the light of day again.

I always wanted a 3DS, but I never got one, and my GOD when they announced the EShop was closing it felt like a longing hope from when I was younger was finally crushed and killed.

Play your Wii U and 3ds! Hi all! If you love the Wii U and 3ds please PLAY them daily or at least weekly because your play data is still given to Nintendo. If we all play our systems regularly Nintendo will at least know how much this wonderful community of ours loves the Wii U and 3ds. As someone who feels Nintendo's peak was around 2001-2018, this is kinda the end of an era.

Though I also never owned a Wii U or 3DS nor do I have the energy to actually feel emotion for it besides "darn, that sucks" sl idk

The Kirby 3DS eShop games were so good, especially Blowout Blast and Dedede Drum Dash Deluxe, so seeing those games disappear forever (beyond of course just yar haring them) is incredibly upsetting

I hope that the 3ds and/or wii u games release on the switch, there is a bunch of games I have not even tried and really wish that I would have a chance to play them. Also it would be interesting to see how the 3ds and wii u dual screen mechanics would work on the switch.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. While it sucks that Nintendo is doing this, I can understand why Nintendo is doing this from a business perspective. I got some last minute games these past few days like Trama Team, Pushimo, A Link Between Worlds, Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time, TLOZ: Windwaker, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and NES Remix 2. Could have gotten more 3DS games but I was more of a Wii U guy anyway. Well, it gives me an excuse for looking into video game collecting tho. Thank you Wii U and 3DS eShop for all the high school memories. I will forever cherish them.

the 3DS is a great retro Games launcher. glad to have never abandoned it.
