Wii is just as easily emulated as GameCube these days. I'd be shocked if we wasn't added in a couple of years with a price bump.

I’m so glad you emphasized how this circle is small in the grand scheme of things, the general public matters as well when it comes to the access to these games

Can’t believe you forgot MGS the twin snakes. The day we still don’t know if Nintendo holds any kind of rights over it (because they’ve never re-released it) so it’s not a guarantee for any future master collection. NSO could be its best shot.

If Nintendo sold these GC games instead if hiding them through a subscription.. they'd be $60 😂

I would kill for Phantasy Star online. The GameCube version was so good. Playing that online again would be incredible. 😭

I hate that these games are still behind a subscription, especially the more expensive subscription at that. I'd like to be able to buy a couple of these and not buy the top tier sub.

I'm calling it now, NSO Expansion Pack is going up in price in September

Can we all admit now, that all the rumours surrounding the supposed Wind Waker/ Twilight Princess double-pack was based on nothing. What a waste of energy

The reason I don't think they will raise the price *now* is because GC is exclusive to NS2, but the subscription service is the same. They would loose customers by just increasing the price when the majority of subscriptions are (yet) on Switch 1 only. One year from now, however, I would say that is likely that prices will increase

The NSO Gamecube announcement was the biggest disappointment of the entire direct. I don't want to rent emulated ports of games I already own for a monthly fee--especially when, like in the case of Windwaker and Twilight Princess, we could easily have purchasable HD versions. There aren't even that many great Gamecube games left that haven't been ported to Switch already. Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, and Super Mario Sunshine already there (in superior versions), and many popular third party games like Resident Evil 4, Ikaruga, Tales of Sypmphonia, and Harvest Moon have also been ported (and Tony Hawk 3+4 is coming soon). I've been waiting for years for Nintendo to just port the HD Zelda games to Switch. WTF is the holdup? And after that there are only a handful of games on the entire system I even care about (mostly Metroid Prime 2, Luigi's Mansion, SSX3 and SSX Tricky). Between this and the price increases, I think I'd rather just skip the Switch 2 and continue emulating.

I will never stop posting about how I don't want games trapped behind subscription services.

I swear... if Nintendo announces the NSO price goes up anytime during this lead up and launch window of Switch 2... it's over... people are already up in ARMS (no pun intended) over the pricing thus far for these things... if another expense comes down the lane... Nintendo may as well roll out the Ambassador program again for early adopters.

SKIES OF ARCADIA LEGENDS pleeeaaase! ❤ I feel like I'm the only one who loves this JRPG gem so much. Let me know, that's not the case, by liking this comment! 😘

Eternal Darkness please come to the NSO!! 😢

I don’t like that the only way to access these games is through a paid subscription (which I don’t have).
I much preferred the Wii Virtual Console

Windwaker’s release date is over twice as close to A Link to the Past’s release date than it is to today.

Nintendo is doing more to garner support for emulators than any business in history!

Custom Robo & Viewtiful Joe are my top picks

People would go bananas if Smash Bros Melee was there. But more realistically, if Mario Kart double dash was there, that would be a huge sell point. They already have a huge interest with soul caliber 2 and wind waker so a lot of people are wanting a Switch 2 for mainly the NSO upgrades
