Best AI assistant for developers is free

I tried and used Codeium, a free tool that is a great coding assistant which is free for all developers and work great for developers workflow. I have been using it in last 7-8 of my backend series videos. It makes you code faster and has great suggestions.

My problem is finding the most optimal solution because making things work is relatively easy but figuring out weather the sol created is optimal or not is a nightmare

Hey what's your opinion on Pieces. not as OS integration but as VS code. I have been using supermaven which is also free and it gives AI suggestions. But I usually turn off AI suggestions for JS part. I require for Css and sometimes I directly ask gemini for code suggestion. Gemini gives me improved level of code rather than Windows copilot.
I will try codeium also....

for most the companies engineering side is not a problem because they are not doing anything new. Requirement side of problem is the main for most of the companies in my view.
