I went with my family at the weekend. Amazing production. Congratulations to all the actors, musicians, production and technical staff for putting on such an astounding show, and truly bringing magic to the RSC

I did this play as Bottom too! (A different theatre, of course) Some of the lines were a bit different, but I remember my longest line (I think it’s the longest one, but as pyramas might be longer)

“When my cue comes, call me and I will answer, my next is, most fair pyramas, hey ho, Peter quince? Flute, the bellows mender? Snout, the tinker? Starveling? Gods my life, stolen hence and left me asleep! I had the most rare vision, I had a dream! Past the wit of a man to say what dream it was, man is but an ass! And, if he go expound this dream, methought I was, and methought I had, the eye of a man hath not heard, the ear of a man hath not seen! His hands are not able to taste, nor his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report, what this dream was. I will tell peter quince to write a ballad of this dream! It shall be called ‘bottoms dream’, because it hath no bottom! I shall sing it in the latter at the end of our play, before the duke, per adventure, to make it more gracious, i Shall sing it at her death!”
