For the people confused I basically left hk because of the things happening and yeah I'm in canada now

As a Canadian who’s parents are both Indian, I feel this-

normally people leave Hong Kong because of
1. The protest, it is terrifying but it’s over. (safe)
2. The recent murder cases, all of the people involved have been arrested but there could still be insane people running around, avoid them (not sure)
3. Expenses, there are newer jobs and they pay better, (solved)
but overall hk is a very beautiful place, visit causeway bay!

OMG IM FROM HONG KONG, I HAD JUST SEEN A COMMENT ABOUT MIGRATING FROM HONG KONG. THIS VIDEO TOUCHED ME HARD. 😭

It’s been two years since I’ve left Hong Kong, things in uk are great! I love my school and everything, even got a lover. I look back realising I’ve been blinded by school work in Hong Kong, never had real proper friends or fun. Now that I’m in uk, everything is better! Weather, people and environment.

It wasn’t only stress about work that made me move here, the government and protests in Hong Kong are wild. The news is fake, the school teaching system has been fixed and so on. It sad to see innocent people who stay away from protests get attacked, all because they were there.

Good luck to those who are still there, it’s not as bad as it sounds but definitely not good.

As a person who grew up in hk too, I had to move to the uk.


If you don’t know, my parents told me sm about the teacher teaching us stuff we did not need to learn instead of the stuff we needed as well as things about polices.
(I struggle with adhd so I didn’t listen to them 🥲)
