I live in the SW uS and my neighborhood has a bark scorpion issue. Most of us have pools and landscaped yards which doesn't help. I've gone out with my black light almost every night for the last 3 summers in a row. Year 1 I would kill 5-15 a night! Year 2 it was like 3-7 a night. This summer I'm getting 1 or 2 at the most which makes me think my efforts are making a difference. Of the few hundred that I've killed only 3 have been inside my home. None of my neighbors do what I do so I'm afraid I'm never going to rid them completely., unfortunately

Collect them for pet trade instead, many people love them, and tho its hard for people who live where they are plentiful, the scorpion populations can be pretty isolated in distribution, and do an important job predating on other cockroaches, spiders etc that might otherwise proliferate.

why trying to catch them? I just use my propane torch to grill them. And in areas where I can't use the torch I use TERRO brand scorpion killer spray from HD, that stuff really works if you spray directly on them. Oh and I put glue traps in my garage.
