If you’re new to our channel, here’s just a little introduction. We are Julie and Martin and in 2021 we sold our house and gave up our jobs, to live full time on a narrowboat. We bought our 2004 narrowboat Rhapsody in Blue in the September and have been living full time onboard ever since. We hadn’t intended on vlogging, but recorded videos for ourselves and family and it has escalated into the weekly vlogs you see today, we love every minute and it’s lovely having you all onboard! ❤️

Loved the 'horse' over the bridge demonstration. 🐴 When I first started watching various boat vlogs, I remember getting very thrilled to see other boaters turn up. It was likely a pub visit or a tow path meal before everyone went their own way. That's when I realized that it was a whole lot more than just cruising. I love how when you are cruising I recognize places and boats. ❤

Wow, ok, I won't make any rude comments about the 'horse' pulling the boat, but thank you for the perfect demonstration. Even when you started walking with the rope, I still didn't understand how you were going to do it, but then, suddenly, the light bulb came on as you were walking across the bridge. Julie, I'm sure it must be very daunting for you to be taking the lead, but the more you practice, the better you will become, but I'm sure you know all this and l know it's easier said than done.

Martin was happily chatting away to the camera, and that's really nice to see.

As for the rope on the switchover bridge, that was brilliant, and we haven't seen that done before.
