Thank You for the great video Kate! I was already familiar with Rothenburg ob der Tauber as a kid after reading comic books where it was featured. I got to visit it soon after with my parents. A truly beautiful place.

I full recommend staying overnight, because most of the day tourists disappear and you can experience a much quieter town by yourself. There's also a night tour with a night watchmen who will transport you back to the middle ages. The atmosphere of this town at night or in the early morning hours feels very different than from daytime, very sleepy, solitary and mystical.
