Summary
Some tips that we can use to take action for the environment include:
-We should use renewable energy and divest from fossil fuels (stop using/urge big corporations to stop investing in fossil fuels)
-Examples: solar energy, geothermal, wind, etc.,
-Carpool or use active transportation (bike, etc.,)
-Stand up for social justice and eco-justice, and promote inclusivity in the climate movement.
-encourage community leaders and governments to hold climate investment consultations with youth to ensure they are aware of the challenges and actions governments are taking and to have their voices in the conversation
-urge governments to mandate climate education across the country
-organize events in person and on online-platforms (teach-ins)
-use your networks to reach out to others
-encourage youth to take science and technology fields
-encourage youth to volunteer and get involved with the environment and natural organizations
-reuse, reduce recycle
-shop second hand (clothing from thrift stores, shop from garage sales and other places or second-hand marketplaces ) which also supports the circular economy
-support farmers markets, local markets, or buy local food when possible, grow food, compost
-use bamboo utensils,

I am a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and founded my schools eco-club.
I am passionate about making change in my community because I understand that our time to make drastic reductions in our emissions is limited, before the global average temperature increases by 2 celsius. We need to make and implement these actions into our daily lives and advocate for large scale improvements in sustainable energy and other subjects.
