This video features cover versions of the most funky sax solos ever played. The ultimate funky sax compilation. I’m well aware that I've almost certainly missed out your favourite funky sax song, but shouting at the screen is all part of the fun with these type of videos! I’m sure tomorrow I’ll suddenly think “OMG! How could I have forgotten XXX!!” Also - I haven’t included any funky house songs - that’s a different video!

I haven’t included some of my favourite long form sax solos either as they’re just too long and unpractical for this kind of video. I’m thinking about stuff like Lenny Picket on Knock Yourself Out, some of Maceo’s solos with JB or Rusty Bryant on Fire Eater.

Please note that I specifically chose SAX ONLY riffs. It goes without saying that there are endless epic funky horn section lines, eg Kool & The Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire etc, but that is not the point of this video, so please don’t comment saying stuff like “what about Move On Up”? lol

For me this is a complete Funk course in a nutshell. I will need
