PR on sumo deads 525 for a very easy 8 reps. I realize my sumo form needs a lot if work, and towards the end of my training cycle my hips were much lower and I stayed more upright (I think the music got me too hyped and my form wasn't as tight, because on my warm ups I had some of my best looking reps ever). But today I finally felt like I was making tangible progress on rebuilding towards my previous best (conventional I've done 675 for reps). This set puts my projected max way above where it was prior, even when my conventional pull was it its strongest. I'm sure some of this is due to doing sumos more consistently and getting more comfortable with the form, but I'm also obviously getting stronger. The most important thing is I did this with no back pain whatsoever. My goal is to hit a 675 sumo by the end of the year.
