I Never Knew This About Madness Combat...

It's a strange detail, but adds to the plausibility of how easily Madness Combat characters eliminate one another.

Krinkels didn't say they are clay, he just said they could feel like clay and said their skin isn't elastic as ours

He said it feels like clay, not that it is made of actual clay. I believe this to mean that they have very tough, stiff skin that is much less elastic than that of a human, if anything its stronger than human skin. Also the reason hank is able to rip through other grunts so easily is that he has super human (super nevadean?) strength.

he's also stated when asked what their flesh tastes like "probably chicken"

I remembered when Krinckles said that there bones are actually like wood so if you punched one you would probably feel bad about it.

Oh and dont forget, Hank, Demios, Jebus, and some other characters are generation 2 grunts making them stronger than most... But og hank from project nexus is kinda in purgatory right so... Yeah.

So does that mean we are technically watching a claymation?

No, He said that their skin feels like clay and isn’t elastic as ours, that does not mean their skin is clay.

Besides this statement can be contradicted by actually watching the series; in madness combat 9.5 hank hit a ATP engineer so hard he launched him and hit the wall with the back of his head and even cracked it by it, yet the engineer just got up fine, any human getting this type of damage would immediately fall unconscious and suffer severe head damage or possibly death. In the episode ‘The experiment’ (which is canon btw) a grunt took a few meter fall to the head and got back up, I believe they are probably more durable and stronger than a average human.
Although the grunts and ATPs do get killed kinda easily in older episodes, krinkels did state that he wanted to make them look stronger in 9.5.

The main characters (hank, jeb, Deimos, Sanford etc.) are also Greatly superhuman in terms of strength, as they’ve shown feats of breaking through walls, taking damage even a peak human would die from and being able to go againts one another.
