Jota is like Tostao of Brazil '70: a short, but very intelligent, skillful forward. The opposition look at him, look at his stature and think that he is no threat, that they can probably mark him out of the game. But his movement gets him into great positions, he links up play well, sets others up. He can also outjump your tallest centre-half. Defenders are probably more worried about Nunez's pace, but Jota will suddenly pop up, find space and clinically pass into the corner of the net. It's great when the other team underestimate you.

I think it’s fair to compare his natural finishing ability to Fowler, it really is very similar in the poacher way of snap shots and his near post runs etc.
But Fowler did it week in week out as a first team starter for several seasons in a row. Jota hasn’t.
