My thoughts on Spider-Man facing Darth Maul on an upcoming episode of Super Power Beat Down.

When is this match up happening? 1st November 2 then changed to late November early December still nothing . This is giving the people the run around. Man this takes forever.

Also in regards to a fast paced fight - spidey physically moves 40x faster then a normal human on top of his early warning sense.

While it is possible for Maul to hold Spidey down with The Force and cut him to bits, its not entirely in character for him to do something like that. Maul very rarely uses The Force as an actual weapon. Maul usually only uses The Force like that when he feels he's going to lose.

Spidey! But the Force thing can be exaggerated to any level, so who knows. Remember that Maul's use of the Force was limited; he couldn't choke and he could only do a push; he didn't have Vader's level of control. So Spidey could still do this.

This is a hard voting because the force vs Spider-Man's powers but one answer is the spidey sense abaul to sense the force ?

I'm really looking forward to this battle.
I think it's one of the most even match -ups I've seen on here.
I'd put my money on Spidey but it will be very close and it would be a very long battle. In comic land it could even make sense that this battle could rage on for hours:

Spidey:

Spidey will be like no other opponent Maul has gone up against since he is one of a kind!

Pros:
1) Super human strength - he can lift 10 tonnes!!! Makes it harder to force hold him too.
2) Superior agility - Counters Darth Maul's use of the force for agility
3) Spidey Sense - Can't be surprised although Jedi Mind Trick might counter it after a long battle where Spidey is feeling exhausted - remember that Jedi Mind Trick only works on the weak willed
4) Webbing - Might be able to pin Darth Maul long enough to knock him out but he would have to be fast, which he is, to get him before Maul lightsaber's the webbing
5) Highly Experienced
6) Superhuman Toughness and Healing
7) Quick Thinking - Those who have seen 'The Phantom Menace' can see how this one might just be a game changer

Cons:
1) Will not kill intentionally
2) Cares for innocent people



Maul's main advantage will be his awesome power of the force coupled with his ruthlessness and fighting skills

Pros:
1) The Force - Counters any physical edge that Spidey would normally have except for perhaps Spidey's toughness, which is why Maul would have to wear Spidey down over time and wait for Spidey to let his guard down.
2) Superior Training and Lightsaber - Maul's Training is by far Superior to Spidey's training, who learned most of his stuff by just going in and fighting, more a 'Superhero Agile Brawler' - I reckon that evens it out
3) Ruthlessness - if he force throws a hunk of anything at any bystanders then Spidey will want to save them thus distracting him from Maul

Cons:
1) Easily Tricked
2) Not Superhuman - has to focus on the force to maintain any effect that makes him superior to the norm for his race, and in Spidey's case, he's gonna really have amp up on his force powers to stand a chance
3) Overconfident - A Sith Trait

Prediction:

Spidey 52%
Maul 48%

Another side note is that Batman went toe to toe with Vader and almost won on this same show. If Vader's force was not strong enough to destroy batman easily on this show than how can Maul even hope to win with Spidey fighting him. Just a thought.

These 2 charecters going into this battle would be a hard choice but as much as I like Darth Maul, I honestly think Spider man would win. The reasons why Spider man would win is because his spider sense ability only works when he is battling evil and Darth Maul is evil already. Another reason for my choice of spider man is the fact that he has more years of being spider man than darth maul being a sith. This means he has for more years of trainig against multiple enemies which leads me to another point. Spider man has also battled many more people than darth Maul has. Spider man also has super strength. Although darth maul has force choke ability, spiderman can just shoot multiple webs at darth maul which will disable his concentration to the ability which allows spider man to pack quite a few punches. and who man might even hang him with his web while darth maul tries to forde the lightsaber to himself and cut the web but thats when spiderman could just use his web to grab onto the saber while maul is forcing it and will lose air and die. So I think Spider man will win
