Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe Test

I’ve used this axe many times in the woods during bushcraft adventures and for general camp work and I can tell you that it works very well for its intended purpose, and it’s really not that bad for splitting firewood either.

Gransfors Bruks and Wetterlings make some beautiful well made axes but are to costly for me.

met a man that said a bit of a dull axe is better then a razor Sharp axe it won't get stuck as easily. he showed me a flick of the wrist will rip even the thickest of logs in two. he also showed me first hand it was legit. love backwoods Georgia

Very nice. I went with the wetterlings large hunter over this one, but only for minor preferences! Great test footage!

I ended up with a Hultafors hunters axe...pretty much the the same thing. I looked at GB, Wetterlings, Husqvarna etc. Quality on them all is top notch. I ultimately chose the Hultafors because of the history of the company and the price. Thanks for sharing.
