During Vox Stayed Gone, he fought an IQ battle against Alastor and lost due to his anger issues. vox always loses this due to his hatred for alastor. Vox couldn't do anything to Alastor, he made fun of Alastor during the whole song, but these had no effect on Alastor and as soon as Alastor entered the song, Vox immediately got angry and lost control.

How the hell does Vox win most of these? So far he's come up with one very poor plan with no strategy (which failed btw) Alastor meanwhile has had multiple successful plans throughout the series, he was the one to use his knowledge to contact Rosie, he was the only one smart enough to look deeper into the situation with Carmilla, turned Vox's plan to try and defame Alastor on its head, etc.
