How to Set Up an Ultrasonic Range Finder on an Arduino

In this video, I show you how to measure distance with three different ultrasonic range finder circuits using the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Range Finder. The first circuit is a basic range finder circuit using only an Arduino and the ultrasonic range finder. Then I show you a more accurate range finder circuit that factors temperature into the speed of sound formula. Finally, I show you the most accurate range finder circuit that takes into account both humidity and temperature in the equation for the speed of sound.

I was not concerned about the Temperature and Humidity while measuring distance . Thanks for the perfections.

You should also take in the consideration of the accuracy of the DT11 sensors.

GREAT thanks, took me awhile to get the code to work (poor pin conections) but got 2 of them in the end

Thank You. Most of these videos parrot Ardunio. Ultrasonic RADAR they seem to call it.

Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I saw it some days ago however i couldn't find it today.
Maybe you should try some more tags like HC-SR04 or distance sensor, if you haven't already.
Your approach is the best (3 different ways of measuring), very accurate and very easy to set.

Thanks again for sharing!Liked and subscribed

My display shows only black squares. The text appears however if I look from an angle. What should I do?

I wanna ask you why you did'nt use LCD that you displayed on picture use for video.
Please upload video of this project by using the LCD and display reading not only in cm also in meters and feet etc.
Otherwise video is very good bro.🖒

Make more arduino and other sensor, ,
Thank you..

Very nice, educating and easy to follow!
I saw some interesting improvements if instead of the notebook, you had moved a square box of some sort in front along the ruler. Also if had aligned or measured the number of centimeters to the facing wall some whatever 2-3 meters away for longer distance? ;-)

Is there any way to configure the ultrasonic to a particular distance, where it can only send output when it senses preset distance

do you have a schematic if I wish to add LCD Display for this project?

Thank you for the tutorial for the ultrasonic range finder however i have been stuck on a problem while trying to connect the lcd display to the circuit . I have followed the hardware and software exactly the way it is shown and the lcd does light up and it shows 16 little boxes but it doesn`t display anything on them so if you could help me out it would be great.

Can you make a video using the display from Arduino thanks and great video

why does it show on LCD screen "out of range" when distance between HC-SR04 and object is 15 cm

Liked and Subscribed!! Great video! I have a really cool but big project that I'm working on prototyping while also learning at the same time. Great info here, I like the way explain things. Would you be open to helping me answer a few questions I may have during my build?

Which type of aurdino use for this project (UNO or NANO)

There is a waterproof version of this sensor and I ask one question why this is not on every car with a red led and interior horn set at 5 feet??? To prevent front end collisions.
