I saw this nice older gentleman on the set of Justin Evans' "Honor Among Thieves" last week, and thought nothing more of it -- until Justin said "you MUST talk to Carl." He was right.

Saw Jaws when it was first released in Brooklyn when I was a kid about age of 12 or 13. Quite impressive at the time. One guy walked out of then theater mumbling about "he couldn't take it." Cool interview.

Such a nice interview. Thank you! Jaws 3-D wasn't discussed here but I wonder if it was discussed as you mention Tom and Dick Smothers. The question was asked within a Smothers Brothers FB group - a copy of Carl Gottlieb's screenplay of "Jaws 3D" has a sequence featuring Tom & Dick Smothers performing on a Sea World stage. Was the sequence actually filmed, or did Universal veto the cameo?

I loved Caveman. Hugh - let me guess - it's the G9 that's filming the close-up of Carl. If I'm correct, then I'm convinced it's one of the best and most underrated hybrid cameras out there.
