It's kind of surprising that when making icons you can't tell it to match the exact colours of the existing icons. In my opinion, it's not matching the style if the colours are going to be random.

Why does the generated vectors have a grey background like they are eps compressed when moving them from illustrator to any other adobe software

Great. Which Beta version is it? In the German 28.1 45 Windows Beta the text-to.vector tool seems not implemented. At least I can't find it. Retype, Recolor are available. My Creative Cloud doesn't offer English versions.

I want to create a child character in AI. I also want to draw pictures related to the same character. I want to use this character in a story I wrote. Is this possible? I can't do this with AI, it creates a different child picture every time and it breaks the harmony that should be in my story.

... Trying it out myself yields nothing but garbage. It's basically a Google Images Live Trace tool. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst client.
