Everyone is always bitching about how country music isn't country music anymore, It's not 1960, times have changed. Music has evolved. Just because it doesn't sound like George Straight or Hank Williams doesn't mean it isn't country music.

The lyrics are gorgeous, great to have a male voice singing about a female in a away that doesn't describe just how good she looks in the shorts she's wearing, or that she sure drops it low and that he therefore wants to take her home.

Ok so I gotta rant.  All of you that say this doesn't sound like country, why do you think that?  Is it because it's more modern than George Strait, Patsy Cline or Tim McGraw?  I don't understand your reasoning.  Does that mean that all modern rock isn't rock anymore because it doesn't sound like the Beatles, CCR, Skynyrd, Metallica or the like?  Is it because he's not singing about his truck, fishing, his dog that ran away or his girl that left him?  To me and EVERY country station on the radio today, this IS country.  MODERN COUNTRY.  If you don't like it thats fine.  But you don't have to publicly bash the song or the artist.  Just move on.  This is a GREAT song.  -end rant-

As a woman who has been hurt with my walls completely up, not ready and sometimes not willing to ever let someone else in....he sings this song perfectly. He singing this to a woman that has obviously had their heart broken. He is interested in her, he is talking respectfully and gently, which no matter how far those walls are up....with each lyric...he is breaking down those walls...healing a soul to maybe trust again. I have this song on REPEAT for the last few days. I absolutely love it. I feel as if Sam is talking directly to me.  LOL! Or perhaps I'm just waiting for the "right" guy to say this to me instead of always pushing things to the limit and too fast. Love you SAM!

This song is so damn great! I like traditional country music, too - raised on it - but how can anyone NOT hear how catchy this is and what a GREAT voice Sam has. I know he can care less about you haters. Everything evolves, even country music. You're welcome to live in the past if you want but I look forward to the future, and it's sounding pretty damn good!!!
